My Vlogging/blogging journey

My Vlogging/blogging journey.

A lot of people don't understand how awesome my job is. I didn't choose this life, or career; it chose me. When I was in college in 2009 I started watching a lot of Youtube videos for projects in school. One day I was recommended a video by Dulce Candy, which I have no idea why because I had only watched music videos before that. I just fell in love with that world of being a guru. I fell for the giltz and the glam side of it, not the actual fact that you have to work hard to get there. I just wanted the free stuff, and money of course. When I finally got my Macbook I felt a part of the club I could make videos now, edit them. I enjoyed making videos at times but something was just missing. Same thing with blogging something was missing. I think it was the love of doing them both, I was just caring about what I could get out of it not who I could help. Then I started writing from my heart and saw how fun it could be to help people, reach people and talk about things that I loved like fashion and beauty.  Not until 2 years later, when I was unemployed that I realized I could really do this as a job and get paid for it.

I did everything on my own. I never contacted a designer or consultant for my website I just did it the way I thought would bring viewers and it worked. I mean I was up to a few hundred viewers a day. Not the much but to me it was a whole lot. But once my internet went out I just couldn't consistently post things like I was before and I lost a lot of views because of it. That made me sad at first but it is what it is. I have learned that I cannot control everything in the universe. I can only move on from there. This dream I will never give it up because it just brings me joy to know I am informing people on things that I love. Or possibly helping someone who may have the same issues I have. I mean what is there not to love about my job. Research, writing, organization and fashion all the things I love to do.

Oscars Dresses, winners and more.

Alexis Mabille

Dior

Donna Karen atelier

First I'd like to say congrats to Jennifer Lawrence on her 1st of hopefully many Oscars. I don't why, but I love her. I have never even seen anything she has been in. One day I rent all of her movies.
I pretty much guessed all the winners of the major categories, like, Best Supporting Actress Anne Hathaway. I have never seen Les Miz in person, or on the big screen but why not right. Best Motion Picture, Argo, never seen it either. I haven't seen any of the nominees or winners. Day Day-Lewis for Lincoln. I have been wanting to see Brave, winner of Best Animated feature film. Biggest winner of the night was Life of Pi, including best Director. Yay for Adele winning best song for the Bond movie.
Miu Miu
Roberto Cavalli
Tadashi Shoji

Versace
I don't have a fave. I love them all so much. But I think it's gonna "Kelly Rowland". I mean she looks good and it fits the way a dress is supposed to. Some people just never get it right I will not say who, but she just always dresses wrong for her body type. And love this women she is hilarious, and an amazing actress but her stylist isn't doing it right. Someone needs to pull her aside and say you are beautiful, show your arms!!

Rihanna and MAC

I was just reading a wonderful story about two of my most favorite thing ever. RiRi and Mac Cosmetics. I love them both so much I can barely contain myself. After reading this news the first things I could think was how awesome RiRi is doing in this industry. Although she is always under scrutiny for w/e she does, this will be good for her brand. Mac cosmetics is an amazing company to be partnered up with. According to WWD, Rihanna will have more control over the products than in the past celeb collections . There will be a total of four different collections distributed throughout 2013; including falseies and nail polishes YAY!!.

I mean first the new clothing line at River Island, which is one of my stops when I go to London, now a  makeup partnership with one of the most awesome cosmetics line ever. I know this is just what RiRi needs to become more well known across the globe.

Highlights from the article

-"Privately, yea, it's a pain in the A**, but at the same time they help me to get my message across"-RiRi on regards to all the recent media attention
-"She's a grown woman, and whatever makes her happy makes us happy. Life's complicated. Far be it for us to judge"- John Demsey, group president of the Estée Lauder Cos. Inc., MAC’s parent company.
-4 collections: Summer, also includes two additional lipsticks, a Lustre Drops shade and a powder blush duo. Fall, a deeply pigmented lipglass a version RiRi Woo. Holiday, has 10 items including a nail polish. Some products are sold online, while others will soon follow in brick-and-mortar stores.

All I know is I am pretty excited about these collections.

Natural Hair: Protective style Senegalese Twists Q&A plus update

I was  supposed to made this post weeks ago, but besides the lack of internet I most recently suffered a head injury. I won't go to far into details of the situation but I'm getting better just neck and back pains now. Anyhow luckily I make my posts ahead of time and can just copy and paste.

My Senegalese Twists:
I had been thinking about a protective style that would require as little maintenance as possible. Then of course I took to the place I do all my hairstyle shopping, Youtube.com. This is where I find my most inspiration, that and blogs. I saw a few people with Senegalese Twists and thought hey I could do that. After looking through some tutorials online I was able to accomplish the hairstyle.
