Cantu Shea Butter review of grow strengthening treatment!

Hey lovely readers, I have been using Cantu Shea butter products since 2010. Although I love them now, their was a time when their products just was not working for me I purchased Cantu shea butter Grow strong strengthening treatment because many people on you to recommend it there leave in conditioner. At the time I couldn't find it so I settled for the strengthening treatment, it works great as I was transitioning from relaxed to natural. After I bc 'd my hair it just seems to not work anymore; same with the leave in. I'm not sure what the problem was but I left my hair dry looking, even after freshly washing. So I stopped for a few months before I went back to try a different method of using the products. Twist-outs, braid-outs, protective styles, flat twists, you name it i tried it. Fast forward to today and I am officially back in love with the Cantu brand; esp their Grow strong strengthening treatment. And here are my personal opinions of the product. Price: Between $4.99-$6.00 What are the cons? I'm not feeling the fact that I can't really use it while my hair is wet I always let my hair air dry first before styling, but once I tried styling while it was pretty wet and I left my hair frizzy. Now I am not sure if I did something wrong or not, but that is definitely not recommended. What are the pros? Work well with my eco styler gel the olive oil brand, it leaves my hair shiny, soft, and it fights frizz on wash days. I also love to use it after I have blow dried my hair, my hair comes out so defined. Works well with perm rods but only if my hair is blow dried (read cons). Do you recommend this product and why? Yes, because it keeps my hair moisturized while in many of my protective styles. If you are looking for product that will keep your natural do is moisturized, this is a good product to try, but if you're going organic or refuse to use ingredients such as sulfate for Parabens than this is not the product for you. Ingredients: Water is the first one which is always a good sign. But there are Cetearyl Alcohol, Parabens, and added frangrances. It does have Shea Butter, castor oil, and sweet almond oil. I hope you all enjoyed this post. Stay tuned on more reviews. Pynkstarr

New hair Products

Hola Chicas

I went online browsing the other night for hair products and came across an item I've been wanting to try out. Online it was about $14 not including shipping and handling. And in order to get free shipping you usually have to spend between $40-75. Now unless you planned on spending that amount I found myself adding more and more products when in fact I just wanted one "Dr.Bronner's Magic Soap" in Lavender. Well after a while I gave up I'll find it when I find it. Lo and behold, yesterday I went to an African store looking for Shea Butter. And I turned and saw like a magical sparkle like in the movies. Dr. Bronner's products were fully stocked. And the price was $13.... :0. So excited. And also went to Walmart to purchase Cantu Shea Butter Leave-in Conditioner. Haven't tried these yet. But I'm sure it will leave my hair feeling marvelous.
FOI(for our info): I found that Dr Bronner's soap can be used for many more things than just hair. Body, cars, pets,etc;

I was bored and decided to see what products work well together and what doesn't. I saw a video of a lady on YT using Cantu Shea butter leave in conditioning cream and Eco Styler gel together. She got a big messy, clumpy disaster. So I decided to try it with my IC Fantasia Gel.

Below is what I got. The fact that they both contain similar products, I assumed they'd work well. Nope. And that big cottage cheese mess could have been in my hair. And when I washed my hands....eww a big cloudy mess. So the lesson of the day is to not mix any and every product or else your hair with look like my hand...lol.

YES YES...Finally

Hey There,
Why am I so happy you ask. Well I woke up today after leaving my hair in a two strand twists since Saturday, my co-wash day. I untwisted this morning with my Castor oil, it was raining so I had to wear a hat. With this new routine actually working I can not wait until I am completely natural. I love the feeling of my hair. Its great!!. Being in a transition can be annoying at times because of the feeling that u can only do a few hairstyles. But it is actually more healthy for my hair. Still no plans yet for the BC tho. Only issue I'm having is touching my hair. Its like I have to keep touching to see how curly it still is or something. I need therapy.
Here are some pics of my results.
