Omygosh day 3 of this awesome college girl series!!! Um, yes 3 in a row ya'll!

As a college student, I often have issues finding a hair style that will work for me. It can't only just work for my budget though, but also for my lazy days. You know what a lazy day is.... those days where you forgot to tie up your hair because you thought it'd be fine the next day. But it turned into a big bush! :( 

Well I have a few solutions for those lazy days!

Mini Twists- You can just get up and go everyday, add a little bit of oil every few days and you are good.

Final week of school!!! Living in the NOW!

Oh My Gosh!! 

Too excited for being able to relax my brain just a bit for my break for school. I still have about 3-4 terms left before I graduate, which seems like a short amount of time but it'll go by so super fast.

I have been having an issue living in the NOW, meaning not focusing on yesterday or the future, which I do ALOT! But after doing some soul searching, finishing up my Residing in Abundance course, I have come to realize that NOW is what's happening. The past has happened so I can't change that. And the future hasn't happened yet so worrying about it constantly won't really fix it. Somethings are really out of my control and I need to understand that fully. Butttt I do know that now, or at least I am working on it. :) I have been writing and praying. I am now beginning to meditate daily as well, so hard for me to do but I am doing it. 5mins a day is what my life coach suggested and it's working. 

Other than that I am still into planning!! I really love my Plum Paper Planner so much because I can see what I did, how I decorated weeks ago etc. I really enjoy doing it.

Here is my last week's rainbow theme! I have seen so many examples that inspired me to try it out and well here it is!!

I heart coconut Oil!

I'm in love with the coco!! Lol!! No seriously guys, I really love coconut oil. And I use it for everything too.  From skin, to hair, to food, it's like one of those things you can use for everything.

Years ago when I first purchased it, it was through Vitacost.com and it was only for my hair. Fast forward a a year or two, yes that's how long that jar lasted until I found other uses for it. I also love the way it smells, Dr.Bronner's coconut oil has the best smell. I spoke about it a few years ago in a post. Also it's cost friendly, instead of buying a shaving cream, lotion, and hair product you can use it for all of those things and save money.

How I use it on my skin?

*Shaving*

*Body Oil*

*Make up Remover*

*Facial Moisturizer*

*Foot bath*

*Mixed with coffee grounds as facial or foot scrub*

*Deodorant* 

(now this doesn't mean anti perspiring so you will sweat it off and it mat not be pleasant, but I believe you can mix it with natural items get a better result like baking soda or tea tree oil.)

*Lip balm*

*Eyebrow shiner*

*Irritated nostrils during those sniffly days*

*After shave*

How I use it in my hair?

*LOC method*

*Scalp massager*

*Prepoo*

*Great detangler*

*Deep conditioner*

How I use it for food?

*Frying*

*Baking*

*Some people put in their tea, or coffee. In which I be trying this soon*

*Oil rinsing, okay you aren't swallowing but it's in your mouth so same thing*

Easiest way for me to use coconut oil on my skin is to let it turn to liquid and pour it into a disposable spray bottle. I use a 2oz bottle because it's small enough for travel and easy to hold while in the shower. Also I use different jars for cooking than the ones I use for my body/hair for obvious reasons.

 I just really love coconut oil! And this is just a smidge of the ways to use it!!

What's in my travel toiletries bag!!

Hiiiiiiii!! I mentioned a few posts ago about a trip I took on a train, well I took the trip by train....wait am I saying that correctly. Either way the train ride is very very long and I needed to make sure I had everything. Not just things for the train ride but also for the hotel, which can be a hassle at times. I never check anything because it just would cost too much money and I always fear I'd need something from my bag. You are allowed to take two bags on the train, so I have one carry-on size luggage and my shoulder bag that I stored my laptop in. Also in this bag is my toiletries bag and some snacks for the longgg ride.

First up is my toiletries bag that I only paid .99 for at a thrift store :). 

This bag is from a Lancome makeup kit, it's a vinyl material so I was able to clean. And it's so bright and vibrant that I had to get it because the one I was using seemed to be shrinking. With everything I can fit in here plus I have room to grow!! 

These are some essentials I can show you, excluding some feminine stuff, wash cloth, tooth brush, and a few hair products. As you all can see I am a germaphobe who needs to wipe counters and spray Lysol to feel safe. The bathrooms at the hotels are usually clean but you never really know. And as far as the train is concerned, with 100s of people in and out of them you never know what germ is running rapid in there. My tip is to be careful and use sanitizer through out the train ride just to be safe.

If you are not taking a long trip, there may be no need for all of these things but I highly recommend them for an overnight trip on a train.

My 1st Marley Loc experience

     Back in august I made the decision to finally try out Marley Locs. I had been admirer of this hairstyle for a few years now after looking at all of the pictures on Pinterest and videos on YT. I just never wanted to try it because it looked like too much work. Which it later turned out to be.

First Week of school!!

Hey all. Hoping everyone is going well. I am doing pretty okay but let me just say that this week has been a crazy one. January 5th, was the first day of my second quarter towards my fashion degree. It wasn't really too bad because they mostly want you to introduce yourself and why you are there and what are your plans in life. You know the usual. I had a few homework assignments this week but nothing too heavy. As an online student you have to always make sure to print as much as possible. Print everything if you can! Print the syllabus, any articles that is referenced, anything available for the upcoming weeks that need to be hand written and scanned in. I am fortunate enough to have multiple campuses in my area where I can print for free. But if you can't print everything, just print the important stuff like the syllabus. Follow the syllabus and ask as many questions as possible.

For example I am taking a Textiles class where I had to pay an out of pocket expense. I had to inform my professor of this situation because I wasn't sure if I could get this kit on time. Luckily, there were more classmates with the same issue and my professor gave us until this week to buy the kit and do the assignment. 

Here is the Swatch Kit I was referencing. I haven't completed it yet but so far it's pretty interesting to do because this kit will come in handy for years to come as a fashion major. I plan to get my Doctorate in fashion later in life, but for now I need to finish my BA. Anywhoo I am enjoying my school life for what it is at the moment. I think last time I was too worried about everything else and this time around I am going to soak in the experience. I feel more calmer this quarter and more relaxed. I have been meditating to help me with being more relaxed. And I have also stopped over thinking everything. Time to put those changes to use right!?

          Hello my wonderful readers!! It has been a long time since my last post. I honestly have been extremely busy with my classes that the only thing I had time for was homework. It was almost like school took over my life completely. I didn't wanna really do many other things other than school work because when I commit to something, I have to succeed in it.

       Now that school is officially over, I can spend that time blogging. I love blogging because I always have a lot to say. And yet I never have many to say it too. LOL. 

BAPs Season 1 and Episode 3 review/recap

This show is unreal every time I watch it I am in shock. I feel like when I watch many reality shows I see how others try to emulate upper class black people but just end up looking like a hot mess. Well if this is the only example of upper class black people then they are all the same. The same people that diss poor people or look down on poor people act no different than the misrepresentation that is out there. That poor people don't work, live a ghetto lifestyle and have nothing going for them.

Hit the Floor Season 2 Episode 11

Last night's episode of Hit the Floor was so juicy. I mean of course I was super mad about last weeks let down. But I understand why the writers do what they do. 

So to recap the episode.

Sloane returns to her office to see her envelope is missing. Jelena is always one step ahead of everyone in everything. She literally has eyes all over the country. Sloane has an Oscar-take-down group meeting with Kyle and Raquel.They disband since all the evidence is gone anyway. Terrenece's injury is now in the media, Jelena tells him about Zero. Oscar is supuscious after that ME called him about the girl he sent, when Oscar never sent a girl. The ME goes missing. LOL. He knew he messed up big time. Oscar spoke with a cop who is looking for the ME and informs Oscar that Chase was cleared of killing Oliva and that he is now the new targeted suspect. Oscar will not have it. He talks to Jelena about staying in her place. She informs him she is not the one he should be worried about. Lionel is pregnant and goes to tell Pete when she over hears him and Sloane exchange I love yous. Sloane cries in the bathroom and runs out upset, bumps into Jelena, throws away baby shoes. 

Jude now needs to make sure his alibi with he and Derrick being together the night Olivia died is still intact. Kendall gets an exclusive with Derrick regarding his future with the team and questions about Terrerence. Zero and Oscar are talking in the stands and Oscar knows he needs Derrick more than ever now. So he tell Kyle of a new plan regarding cocaine and other drugs. A video camera and some cash to taint Derrick's chase to leave the Devils if he planned on it. She agrees to help him. German questions Kendall's motives about the information she had to give up in order to get a raise. I mean why did he expect anything less right. Kendall is a cool girl but she came to LA to work and will do anything to get to the top. 

Team heads to Boston, MA. They do a flash mob dance. Sloane calls Jelena to speak to her after Asha informed her that Jelena was in the stadium late last night.  Then Lionel pops up at her house. She blames Sloane for her marriage never really being a marriage. yea and I am sure alllll that partying and drinking/drugging had nothing to do with it. She tells Sloane she hates her and leaves. While in Boston I noticed some chemistry between Asha and German. AWWW.

As Asha is practicing to Tinashe's 2 On in walks German. He gets a lap dance from Asha then leaves for his date, more like sex date with Kendall. Asha continues to practice her strip tease a lone. Then German comes back and they have sex on the floor ewww because that floor is Christina Augiulera dirrty!

Jude goes to tell his dad about Sloane and Raquel's plan when his father interrupts him and tells him about Olivia and him meeting. Oscar had Olivia followed and saw everyone who she spoke to that day. He assumed it had to do with the fact that Jude's neighbor informed him of his male on male activities. Then tells his son he won't except it. And says he has no son :(. So sad.

Raquel asks Pete to marry her. Jelena meets Sloane and tell her she no longer has the paper work she had on Oscar. Then you see Lionel walk into Oscar's office with the paper work :(. Plan failed again. 

Kyle tells Derrick what Oscar was up to and they come up with a plan to bring Oscar down. YAY! But she says one of them would have to leave LA. BOOOOO! I can do without Derrick's fine ass tho. I just love Kyle's spunky character. 

Next week is the Season finale but there will be a new season 3 next year so yay.
